This past weekend my family and I went to The Makery for a candle making class. The Makery is the cutest little art studio I have ever seen. It is open based on the monthly events Calender posted on facebook. My family and I absolutely loved the inside of this place. The interior felt like an antique shop and smelled like fall. There were many antique chairs and couches that really set the ambience. Every nook and cranny had fun artsy decorations.

As soon as I arrived, I got greeted warmly by the shop owner and was pointed in the direction of my table. At each seat there was a little kit to make the candles. We even got to select our own containers out for the candles. I picked a cute little embellished teacup with a matching plate. In the middle of each table there were paper samples of each scent, making it easy and convenient to pick outwhich one we wanted. I selected the Birchwood Oak scent, which I thought smelled like an old house.

The owner assisted with everything, and checked on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. She had conversations with every table and everyone in the building had a smile on their faces. There were even provided refreshments available to everyone. This included tea, lemonade, a fruit tray, and charcuterie salad in beautiful teacups. My little sister is a really picky eater but she absolutely loved the charcuterie salad.

Overall, I had the most amazing time. The service from the owner and her friend who helped her work the event was amazing. They were very warm and welcoming to everyone. Every little detail was curated to the experience. The vintage cups and glasses to choose from, the refreshments, the fall-inspired scents, and the beautiful decor made the experience worthwhile. We paid $45 per person, which was much cheaper than I expected due to the quality of the service and experience . I can’t wait to come back again for another event soon at The Makery.

I cannot recommend The Makery enough! We recently celebrated my Auntie Sallie’s 80thbirthdday, and the experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish.

Mrs. Tabitha is truly one of the sweetest, most bubbly, and welcoming people I have ever met. From our very first conversation, she was incredibly helpful and shared so many wonderful decorating ideas that helped bring out “80 in Bloom” celebration to life. Her creativity and attention to detail made the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free.

The Makery itself is absolutely adorable. The venue has such a beautiful artsy aesthetic that makes the space feel warm, inviting, and unique. Every corner is picture- perfect, and our guest could not stop complimenting how cute and charming the venue was.

Mrs. Tabitha genuinely cares about making your event special. She went above and beyond to help make Auntie Sallie’s 80th birthday a beautiful and memorable celebration. Her kindness, positive energy, professionalism and genuine excitement for our celebration made us feel so special.
